Son-Mother

I feel like it's a mother's thing. Is it?

To protect and defend her first born son from being punished too harshly by his father. Assuming it's a normal family, not one where the mother feels hopeless and lets the father discipline any way he sees it.

Even when you know your son could be at fault or could be a better person, mother steps in to defend him.

For me, it's true. I don't think I'm "weak" and not letting him get the discipline his father thinks he deserves. I just have a different approach in teaching. And yes, I have been rough with him. But I hug him right away. I just can not be mad at my first born for so long.
