a while ago, i was on a coffee-drinking streak. as much as one half-thermos filled-to-the-top everyday, and for a while, i'd have a frappuccino later in the day every other day..
a friend told me i shouldn't be drinking so much coffee, so i said, "ok, good idea." well just yesterday, i had my first coffee since i tried to slow down, and my god, i got hooked back on. it's special coffee from hawaii, a present from my cousin who was there for vacation. it tasted like no other coffee i've had before. later in the evening, i had my first frappuccino in weeks.....felt like an ex-smoker who just got back into the habit. mmm mmm good (in a bad way). for the record, i don't smoke--never have, probably never will. but i can relate with coffee....
this morning i had another half-thermos (equivalent to about 2.5 cups) of coffee for breakfast. it's pretty strong because i am still feeling a lot of anxiety where i just want to kick things, stretch & circulate my ankles or lift some weights. worst of all, i'm totally feeling like it's a friday so i am having a hard time concentrating at work.
coffee affects me in this way, but it doesn't affect my sleep. i slept soundly last night, even with all that caffeine in me.
why must bad things taste so good? if i may say so: any weak person can fall for temptation; only the strong can resist for their salvation. or something.
